THE BEGINnING

At six years old in Sri Lanka, Yevan David got behind the wheel of his first go-kart. The feeling was instant and addictive. That $2,000 kart, a significant family investment, sparked a passion that would define everything that followed.

For years, it was weekends at the track in Singapore. Nine to one, Saturday and Sunday. Fifteen minutes on, fifteen minutes off. Yevan was a kid who loved driving fast.

EARLY SUCCESS IN ASIA

By 2017, at just 10 years old, Yevan won the X30 Cadet Asia Championship, showcasing a blend of skill and strategy that set him apart. He followed that by winning the X30 Asia Cup in 2018, going on to become Rotax Junior Asia Vice Champion in 2019.

But Yevan knew that to reach F1, Asia was just the beginning. Europe was where he needed to prove himself.

GROWING UP FAST

In 2021, when COVID-19 shut down racing globally, Yevan moved to Italy, living with a coach for three years. Managing everything—laundry, food, school, racing. Growing up fast wasn't optional. And the maturity Yevan developed off-track translated directly to discipline on it.

BREAKING THROUGH

In the same year, Yevan became the first Sri Lankan to win a race in Europe, taking victory in an OKJ European heat. In 2022, he claimed silver at the FIA Motorsports Games. He wasn't the fastest initially, but as he settled in, the wins started coming.

Then came 2024 and the transition to cars. The F4 Spanish championship started poorly and got worse. He fell into the trap of doing more—cold showers, extra gym sessions, more sim time. Nothing worked.

The breakthrough came from his team, who helped Yevan realise the losses weren't always his fault. The solution: stick to one routine, work hard off-track, trust the process on-track and look at everything objectively.

PROVING IT

His Eurocup debut set the tone. First weekend in the car and first time at the track, Yevan qualified 12th, finished 7th overall, and took 3rd in Rookie.

The transformation only accelerated from there. Moving into EuroFormula Open mid-season, he made history at Monza— becoming the first Sri Lankan to win a European feeder series race. Not just once, but twice in one weekend, plus a third-place finish.

The second half of 2024 proved he belonged. 2025 would prove he could lead.

CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDER

In 2025 Yevan became a clear contender for the Euroformula Open Championship, with 3 podiums, 3 rookie wins and 2 overall wins.

Years of preparation, belief, and relentless improvement finally aligning. By season's end, he'd proven he could compete—and win—at the highest level of European junior formula racing.

The next step was clear: F3.

2026 and Beyond

In 2026 Yevan starts F3 with AIX Racing. An underdog team proving themselves, and Yevan ready to prove something bigger.

The plan: excel in F3, move to F2, then F1.

WHAT DRIVES HIM

The goal isn't just winning, it's proving that hard work, humility, and authenticity can coexist with elite performance. Inspiring kids who see themselves in his story. Showing that the journey matters as much as the destination.
